Description
We'll meet at McKay Lake Park in Broomfield to start with a pack walk around the lake and playground areas (a ~1.5 mile, flat gravel loop trail). The main focus of pack walks is working on neutrality, confidence building, and appropriate behavior when in public spaces.
Afterwards, we'll drive just around the corner to the new location for The Colorado Dog Pack headquarters! We are still working on some projects in the dog barn space, but you will get to see the building and the 1.5 acre fenced in yard :) After a quick tour, you can choose between some chill time on our patio to enjoy a drink and the view and practice settling around other dogs, or for the social/neutral dogs you can go explore the back fenced in property for some safe off leash time! (If needed I will group dogs together that I think are good social matches.)
Leashes or long lines required at all times on the pack walk and on our patio, no dog interactions allowed during this time. Max 2 dogs per handler. Once enjoying the fenced in property you may go off leash!
Outdoor classes are weather dependent. If I decide to cancel class for safety reasons you will be notified via text message. Any class canceled by me due to weather conditions will be fully refunded.
